NCCA – Computer Animation Research Centre

This is a collaboration project with The Computer Animation Research Centre (CARC) which is the research embodiment of the National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA) at Bournemouth University

CARC is a recognised centre of excellence in computer animation, fusing technical developments in computer science with underlying artistic principles and practice. The project involved the development of a website which will be a central hub that will showcase the research centre’s work and achievements. Previously, the centre’s work was spread across a subdomain of ncca’s official website and in a microsite under Bournemouth University’s official site. The main objective of the project was to combine everything under one roof.

The services provided included:

• 3rd party plugin integration
• Requirements elicitation
• Traffic tracking and analytics integrations
• Testing
• Documentation

The initial concept of the site was created using basic mock-ups which can be seen below.

After a couple of iterations of the mock-ups and the initial website designs lead to the final look of the site which can be seen below (and via the project link above)
